DAY 1

Eungella National Park

Take a scenic drive from Mackay city to Eungella National Park and enjoy views of rolling green hills and lush rainforest. Enjoy a short 250m walk to Sky Window Lookout or continue to Broken River where you can spot a platypus in the wild.

On your journey back to Mackay, stop at Finch Hatton Gorge for a hike and a swim. The stunning waterfall flows all year round and is the perfect spot for a picnic.

DAY 2

Sarina

Hit the road south to experience the award-winning Sarina Sugar Shed, Australia’s only miniature mill and distillery. Take a tour and taste the flavours of the products made on site including rum, liqueurs and fairy floss.

While you are in Sarina, head out to the stunning golden sand beaches. Sarina Beach is a short drive from the township and is the perfect place for a long walk or a picnic on the sand. Grasstree Beach and the Campwin Beach lookout are also great places to visit.

DAY 3

Cape Hillsborough

Stay at Cape Hillsborough Nature Tourist Park overnight so you can wake up for sunrise with the wallabies! Experience the wallabies in their natural habitat, discover bushwalking tracks, explore caves and even walk over to Wedge Island for a swim in the rock pool. Watch the sunset over the water to complete your day!

Mackay's Northern Beaches

Wrap up your stay in the Mackay region by visiting the stunning array of beaches on offer.
