Riverbend Tours

Riverbend Tours welcomes you to Frontier country.
In June of 1770 Cook beached HM Bark Endeavour on the shores of what we now know as Cooktown. This was to become a pivotal moment in the history of our continent. It is this meeting of worlds that provides the backdrop for their river charters.

Experience the Endeavour Rover at its most special time of day. They explore the harbour in the long afternoon light and then head upstream to watch the sunset over the distant ranges. While navigating the maze way of smaller creeks they serve a complimentary gourmet cheese platter to accompany your drink of choice.

After dark, spotlights add a whole new perspective to impenetrable wall of mangroves that line the river. Listen to stories about Cook’s infamous passage along the Cape, about devastating cyclones, about the glory days of pearling luggers and about the new Cooktown, the gateway to Frontier. This sunset cruise can make for a wonderfully peaceful way to end the day.
